FISHING PHOTOS

In May 2005, brother Steve (Steve is a yankee but a great guy anyway) and I went on a 5 day fishing trip on a lake in the Adarondike Mountains of New York state. On the second day, we almost ran out of film. We caught dozens of pike, smallmouth, and largemouth everyday. No, I can't give away this honey hole.
Too many good fishing spots get ruined from internet exposure!

Steve Hillbert Northern strain Large Mouth Bass. Adarondike Mountains We actually caught a few on deer hair poppers in 6" of water. This was in the rain and wind with a 36 degree wind chill factor.	Pike in 6 inches of water. Notice deer hair popper in toothy jaw!
I figured out what to do with it...kiss it!	Just what does the stereotypical southern gent do when surrounded by yankee fish, yankee friends (brother Steve is NY born and bred), and yankee weather? Why of course he copes...by stuffing his jaw with Copenhagen tobacco (the little lady calls it "worm dirt")! In all honesty, the fishing was so great and the natives so friendly...I would move up thar lickity split except for the winters. I just don't take a shine to ice fishing.
