Thread:3/0 black prewaxed
Body: Peacock herl.
Wing Case: Black foam.
Legs: Black rubber.
Indicator: Chartreuse calf hair.

This was a tough fly to photograph properly.

From May till October, don't head to the river without a few beetles. There are a lot of different ways to tie a beetle but this one is simple, rugged and floats all day. Don't over look the small 16 to 18 sizes.
